Do you have the financial means to pursue the career of your choice? Maybe you want to switch professional careers but can’t afford to do so. Perhaps you are out of work and would like to pursue a new career. Or, maybe, additional training would help you earn that promotion you’ve been working toward at your current job. The William N. Pennington CTE Scholarship allows students to elevate their careers through relevant education and training.
Each year, WNC Foundation awards scholarships to students on the basis of academic criteria or any combination of academics, the field of study, financial need, activities, community service, and other criteria.
Level of Degree:
2021-2022 WNC Foundation Scholarship At Western Nevada College is available to undertake Undergraduate level programs at Western Nevada College.
Field of Study:
Computer information technology/cybersecurity, welding, automotive, machine tool technology, manufacturing, construction, truck driving, phlebotomy, nursing assistant, or emergency medical services careers.
Scholarships of $500 and more will be disbursed in two equal payments (Fall/Spring)

In general, in order to be selected for a campus-based WNC Foundation Scholarship, a student must:
- Meet the specific selection criteria for a particular scholarship program
- Be enrolled in a minimum of six units, unless otherwise requested by the donor
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, unless otherwise requested by the donor
- Some scholarships require students to have a financial need. To be more likely to receive a financial need based scholarship, please make sure to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
