Job Title: NOC Support Engineer, Lagos At MainOne Cable

The successfully hired NOC support engineer will be responsible for proactive monitoring of Transmission and IP devices across MainOne’s network through the support of Network monitoring systems, perform first line troubleshooting/fault isolation, resolve where necessary and escalate to other levels for support in line with MainOne’s internal processes.

Other responsibilities;

  • Maintain and ensure full compliance with all Main One’s NOC processes and procedures.
  • Ensure proper technical documentation of all network events throughout normal/shift cycle or operations.
  • Monitor Main One’s network providing specific update, status and performance of all network components, capacity services etc.
  • Identify and provide first line support on all faults on the Main One network in accordance with the Company’s standard operating procedure for fault escalation and management
  • Answer all network support related telephone calls and interface with internal/external customers on operational issues and related network events, using Main One’s standard operating procedures.
  • Run daily and weekly management reports on network events and activities as well as tracking escalations and other key performance indicators and ensure all customer SLAs are met

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies


  • BSC/HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3 years of experience in the configuration, operations and maintenance of optical fiber SDH and wireless network equipment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of IP devices will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Ubiquiti or Ceragon radio.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Knowledge of DWDM/OTN technology
  • Good Knowledge of Huawei OSN series equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of PtP/PtMP Microwave technologies
  • Knowledge of basic TCP/IP configurations and troubleshooting

Job Title: Manager, Regulatory Services At MainOne Cable

The Manager, Regulatory Services shall be responsible for identifying, managing and fostering long term relationship with relevant regulatory bodies (such as NCC, NPA, DPR, NOTAP, Federal, State and Local authorities e.t.c)

  • Manage, advise and proffer practical solution to the Company’s regulatory risks 
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with appropriate licencing and permit obligations and directions through regulatory engagements;

The Credit Control Supervisor will manage the team responsible for following up with outstanding invoices to the company and plays a vital role in the cash flow of the organization ensuring credit given to customers is monitored and controlled effectively in Main One.   • Full administration of the credit policy
  • Follow-up on  Customers on WHT credit notes
  • Working to strict monthly and annually collections targets
  • Daily and month end reporting and account reconciliations.
  • Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances.
  • Generation of ageing analysis reports and cash collection reports.
  • Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements.
  • Ensuring that all major accounts work to agreed order to cash cycle.
  • Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices.

  • Rating of new and existing customers based on the provisions of the credit policy

Job Title: Data Centre Design Specialist At MainOne Cable

The Data Centre Design Specialist (DCDS) will be responsible for specifications and designs of Data Centres and allied infrastructure, managing technical engagements with vendors and customers as well as ensuring projects are delivered according to the approved standards and costs.

Other specific responsibilities include to:

· Research technical data pertaining to all infrastructure deployment and specifications, ensuring the most cost-effective products/equipment are designed. 

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish data center design criteria, develop basis of design, establish installation strategy, and lead internal technical scope reviews based on design requirements.

· Work with vendors and suppliers to perform design reviews on data center and other infrastructure projects, ensuring all designs meet the specified criteria and standards.

· Lead and manage the Design Build contractor to ensure projects meet the business and technical needs defined in the design scope document.

· Provide construction administrative support to the Project Manager during construction. Tasks may include but will not be limited to, responding to RFI’s, issuance of technical bulletins, review submittals and shop-drawings.

· Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at vendor factories and coordinate the data center construction & commissioning process.

· Ability to dimension correctly and design the data center facilities infrastructure which include utility and clean power systems, power distribution systems, rack power systems, cooling systems, fire suppression systems, cable management systems, etc.

· Keep track of installations and ensure alignment with approved scope and design drawings design.

· Coordinate concept designs and development of projects & infrastructure for the Capital Projects Team or as may be required within the organization.

· Ensure quality of materials conform to approved specifications and regulations and supervising test of materials when required.

· Ensure that all assigned work carried out complies with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance and procedural standards

· Responsible for safe keeping and easy retrieval of printed design documents and any additional project supervision and tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies


  • B.Sc. /B.Tech. degree preferably in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum of six (6) years in a Mechanical or Building Services /Facilities engineering design & supervision.
  • Data Centre or critical infrastructure design experience or Certification will be an added advantage


  • Sound knowledge of electrical & mechanical engineering design principles
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good Project Management Experience including supervision of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works

  • Provide project management leadership for Capital Projects, promoting best practice in Project Management and ensuring assigned projects are delivered to agreed specifications, timelines and approved budget

  • Monitor and administer the relevant contracts and agreements for each project.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • First degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering 
  • A Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are required.
  • At least 12 years of work experience, six (6) of which must have been in leading and directing complex projects/programmes.
  • Excellent engineering design skills is a requirement for this position while good knowledge of Data Centre design and architecture would be an added advantage.

The IT Service Desk Manager will be responsible for managing all procedures related to identification, prioritization and resolution of incidents, including the monitoring, tracking and coordination of Service Desk functions. He or she will take ownership of the planning, designing, and analyzing the organization’s service desk according to best practices, while ensuring high level of customer service quality and availability. This individual will recommend, develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent service levels and quick resolutions.

 The job holder will also manage service process design, performance analysis, develop proactive resolution plans and contribute to escalated problem resolution by giving in-person, hands-on support to end users  and also ensure they receive the appropriate and timely assistance where necessary.

 Specific responsibilities include the following;

 Operations Management

  • Minimum of 8years of  experience with at least 5years’ work experience in IT service desk and support role
